This is a long overdue acknowledgement of a very special person.”

Rotary's Tastings XV Fundraiser, which took place on Sunday afternoon October 20th at the Pelham Country Club, was a huge success.  Well over 100 attended and enjoyed sampling the food from some 20 nearby restaurants and tasting the wine presented by Blue Dog Wines & Spirits (Andy Johnson).  In addition to delicious food and wine tasting, live music was provided by Backwater Groove, a local jazz quintet - Shep Solimine, guitar; Lucas Matos, bass; Stephen Tahbaz, saxophone; Jack Denison, drums and Max Cuomo, piano.  Another highlight of the event was the Pelham Larks, who made a surprise appearance to serenade honoree Peter DiPaola.  Peter's wife Julieta is a Pelham Lark.

Over $16,000 was raised to " help our Rotary Club save lives… around the corner and around the world! " This includes providing cardiac surgery to children from less -developed countries by hosting a child here and supporting medical missions overseas.
